What is a pink slip party?
A pink slip party is a place where recently displaced workers can come to:
- Mingle with other laid-off professionals
- Learn about self-employment opportunities or YOBs (your own business)
- Meet recruiters
- Exchange tips and war stories
- Start a new professional stage
The parties have seen great success in places like New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Kansas City.
Sometimes there is a fee. Other times, the party is free of charge. (Ours is free, but you can buy drinks at the bar.)
